Attorney Pamela Walsma has joined Attorneys Gerald Hunt and Jeanne Vatterott-Gale to found Hunt, Walsma & Gale. Pamela Walsma is an experienced attorney having practiced over 25 years. She has extensive experience in the many aspects of Trusts, Guardianships and Conservatorships, Estate Planning and Probate, Business Law, Contracts, Real Estate Law and Fiduciary Services. She is also a licensed fiduciary and has served as executor, guardian, trustee and conservator for many individuals and estates.
Experience and Education
Pamela graduated with both a BS and MS in Social Work from Saint Louis University. She also obtained her JD from Saint Louis University School of Law and is admitted to practice in the States of Arizona and Missouri.
In addition to her practice, Pamela is an active member of a legal community. She holds membership in the State Bar of Arizona and the Yuma County Bar Association. She has been a longstanding member, Past Chair and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She has served on the Arizona State Bar Advisory Committee to the Probate and Trust Section and has served as Chair and board member to the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar. She was also a member of the State Bar Estate and Trust Advisory Council (ETAC). She has served as a panelist on Continuing Legal Education courses covering many aspects of probate, trusts or guardianships.
Pamela is also a fiduciary licensed through the Arizona Office of Court Administration. She can accept court appointments throughout the State of Arizona and assists other fiduciaries, both licensed and unlicensed, with legal advice regarding their fiduciary duties, compliance and administrative issues. The firm of Hunt, Walsma & Gale has three licensed fiduciaries on staff who can serve as Personal Representatives, Guardians, Conservators or Trustees. She has served on numerous Judicial Selection Committees including serving as Chair for the Federal Magistrate Committee. She has served as legal counsel for towns, municipalities and school districts. She is currently a Hearing Officer for the City of Yuma and has represented the Hospital District No. 1, Yuma County for over 20 years.
Pamela is active in the local community as well. She has served on many community boards and has been serving on the Board of Directors for 1st Bank Yuma since 2009. She has also been an Instructor in the Arizona Western College Paralegal Program on estate planning and probate. She is involved in other local groups which support and assist programs and services in Yuma or other causes close to her heart.
