Attorney Pamela Walsma is an experienced attorney having practiced nearly 30 years. She has extensive experience in all aspects of Wills, Trusts, Guardianships and Conservatorships, Estate Planning and Probate, Business Law, Contracts and Real Estate Law. She is also a licensed fiduciary and has served as executor, guardian, trustee and conservator for many individuals and estates.

Experience and Education

Pamela graduated with both a BS and MS in Social Work from Saint Louis University. She also obtained her JD from Saint Louis University School of Law and is admitted to practice in the States of Arizona and Missouri.

naelaIn addition to her practice, Pamela is an active member of a legal community. She holds membership in the State Bar of Arizona and the Yuma County Bar Association.

She has been a longstanding member and Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She has served on the Arizona State Bar Advisory Committee to the Probate and Trust Section, Elder Law and Mental Health Section and has served as Chair and board member to the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar. She was also a member of the State Bar Estate and Trust Advisory Council. She has been a facilitator and served as a panelist on Continuing Legal Education courses covering many aspects of probate, trust and guardianship law.

Pamela is also a fiduciary licensed through the Arizona Office of Court Administration. She can accept court appointments throughout the State of Arizona and assists other fiduciaries, both licensed and unlicensed, with legal advice regarding their fiduciary duties, compliance and administrative issues. She can serve as Personal Representative, Guardian, Conservator or Trustee.

She has served on several Judicial Selection Committees including serving as Chair for the Federal Magistrate Selection Committee and Yuma County Superior Court Selection Committee. She has served as legal counsel for towns, public agencies and school districts. She has acted as a Hearing Officer for the City of Yuma and has represented the Hospital District No. 1, Yuma County for nearly 30 years.

Pamela is active in the local community as well. She has served on many community boards and has been serving on the Board of Directors for 1st Bank Yuma since 2009. She has also been an Instructor in the Arizona Western College Paralegal Program on estate planning and probate. She has been involved in local groups which support and assist programs and services in Yuma or other causes close to her heart.  She currently serves on the Board for Hospice of Yuma.

Pamela plans to continue to focus her practice on Guardianships and Conservatorships, Estate Planning, Trusts, Probate, Business Law, Contracts, and Real Estate Law.
